JTJB Myanmar Co Ltd is headed by Ms. Su Su Myat, who holds a Master Degree in Law from Yangon University. With previous work experience in the legal department of the office of the Myanmar Investment Commission from 1994 to 1999), Su Su is a bilinguist and is able to converse comfortably in both English as well as Burmese. Thereafter, she was with the law firm, Myanmar Legal Services Limited, from 1999 to 2004. Between 2004 and 2013, she was an in-house legal counsel with an international port management company. Su Su has extensive experience dealing with inward investments issues and approvals, and is an accomplished corporate lawyer.
Some recent work highlights of the firm include the negotiation and drafting of agreements for a high profile renovation and refurbishment of an iconic heritage site, negotiation and drafting of a major Myanmar Oil Terminal Joint Venture Agreement, a Myanmar Property Development Joint Venture Agreement between one of the leading corporations in Myanmar in the area of real estate development and a China partner, a major Joint Venture Agreement for car distribution, and a village settlement agreement in a special economic zone for one of the world's largest processor and merchandiser of commodities.
JTJB Myanmar Co Ltd has also been engaged by Myanmar International Thilawa Terminals as their legal advisor. The advisory role of JTJB Senior Partner Dato' Jude Benny to the Department of Maritime Administration and the Ministry of Transport has been instrumental in assisting Maritime Myanmar in positioning themselves as a Maritime Nation.
